The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued new timings for educational institutions across Islamabad, set to take effect on August 5. This change follows the summer vacation, which has been extended due to the prevailing hot weather.
On Sunday, the Federal Ministry of Education had announced an extension of summer vacations in Islamabad schools and colleges until August 4, 2024, to address the intense heat and humidity in the capital.

Additionally, the provincial governments of Sindh and Balochistan have also extended their summer breaks, with schools and colleges in these provinces reopening on August 15. With these announcements, students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab are awaiting similar updates, but no new information has been released by government officials regarding changes in those provinces.
