The District Education Officer (Special Education) Gujrat has invited applications from eligible candidates for School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching positions in special education institutions across Gujrat Division.
The vacancies are available in District Gujrat and Mandi Bahauddin under the School Teaching Interns policy of the Punjab government’s Special Education Department. The recruitment is being carried out under notification No. SO(Estt)3-20/20(3652), dated March 26, 2026.
A total of 24 teaching positions have been announced across the two districts. District Gujrat has 14 vacancies, while 10 positions are available in District Mandi Bahauddin.
In District Gujrat, vacancies have been announced at several special education institutions. The Government (GSE) Special Education Centre Kharian has one Senior Special Education Teacher position in the HI field and one Senior Special Education Teacher position in the P.D field.
The Government Secondary School of Special Education for HI Girls Gujrat has one Junior Special Education Teacher vacancy in the H.I field. Meanwhile, the Government Deaf and Defective Hearing High School for Boys Gujrat has two Junior Special Education Teacher positions and two Senior Special Education Teacher positions in the HI field.
The Government Special Education Centre Sarai Alamgir has multiple vacancies, including Junior Special Education Teachers in the HI and VI fields and Senior Special Education Teachers in the VI and P.D fields.
Additional Junior Special Education Teacher vacancies in the VI field are also available at the Government Special Education Centre for VHC Gujrat and the Government Special Education Centre Gujrat.
In District Mandi Bahauddin, the Government Special Education Centre Malakwal has six vacancies. These include two Junior Special Education Teacher posts in the H.I field, one Junior Special Education Teacher post in the MC field, and Senior Special Education Teacher positions in the VI and P.D fields.
The Government Special Education Centre Phalia has four vacancies. These include one Junior Special Education Teacher position in the VI field and three Senior Special Education Teacher positions in the MC, P.D and VI fields.
The available positions are spread across BS-16 and BS-17 categories. Candidates are required to meet the relevant academic qualifications and other conditions specified under the STI recruitment policy.
For the Junior Special Education Teacher (HI Field), the listed qualification is an M.A or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of deaf or an equivalent qualification. The degree must be in second division or grade C and obtained from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
The age limit listed for the Junior Special Education Teacher (HI Field) position is 21 to 28 years.
