Students express excitement upon reuniting with friends, though some request additional holidays due to the biting cold. Junior attendance is notably lower on the first day post-winter vacation.

Punjab’s schools were closed from Dec 18, 2023, to Jan 09, 2024, due to extreme weather and air quality concerns. Originally scheduled to end on December 31, winter vacations were extended to January 9 by CM Naqvi’s administration.
