Winter Hours Kick In: Sindh Schools Announce New Timetables

Share

On Friday, the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department issued revised school timings across the province, attributing the decision to the drop in temperatures. As per the notification, both government and private schools under the jurisdiction of the School Education and Literacy Department are mandated to commence classes at 8:30 am.

The altered schedule is slated to remain effective until the conclusion of January. Classes resumed on January 1 after a 10-day winter break across schools in the province.

Previously, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had extended the winter break in response to declining temperatures. With persistent cold weather, there are indications of a potential extension in holidays, but as of now, no decisions have been made by the provincial governments.
