In October, the situation deteriorated further, with the price of a dozen eggs soaring by more than Rs. 14. In major cities like Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Karachi, the cost of eggs has reached a concerning Rs. 322 per dozen, as outlined in the documents.

Gujranwala stands out as the city with the highest egg prices, where residents are now paying an average of Rs. 322.16 per dozen. Karachi closely follows at Rs. 321.64, while Rawalpindi is not far behind at Rs. 321.34 per dozen. Quetta is also grappling with high prices, with the average cost of a dozen eggs standing at Rs. 321.7.

This sudden and substantial increase in egg prices has made it challenging for many families to afford this essential source of protein, leading to concerns about food security and affordability.
