Major Upgrades Planned For Lahore Zoo And Safari Park

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the Interim Chief Minister (CM), has given his approval for a comprehensive revamp of Lahore Zoo and Safari Park. This project entails the introduction of various new animal and bird species to both the Lahore Zoo and Safari Park, such as pandas, hippos, rhinoceroses, African pigeons, black jaguars, pumas, and Chiltan Markhors.

Additionally, the upgrade includes the establishment of a cutting-edge aquarium at both Lahore Zoo and Safari Park, showcasing 142 different marine species. The existing animal enclosures will be transformed into top-notch enclosures to ensure the comfort and well-being of the inhabitants.

Safari Park is set for a significant transformation, with the creation of distinct zones, including an African zone, desert area, and salt range. Furthermore, a night safari experience will be introduced, offering visitors a unique opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife.

To enhance visitor convenience, CM Naqvi has directed the implementation of an e-ticketing system for both Lahore Zoo and Safari Park. He emphasized that both facilities will adhere to international standards and pledged to improve other visitor amenities.

This announcement was made during a meeting led by CM Naqvi, where he received a comprehensive briefing on the extensive upgrade plan. The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Punjab Chief Secretary, Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, Chairman of Planning and Development, Secretaries of various departments, DG Wildlife, and others.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
