An eight-year-old girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted and killed in the Ahmedwal area of Nushki district, Balochistan, prompting a police investigation.
The incident came to light after the girl’s family approached authorities and registered a case. Police have arrested one suspect in connection with the case.
Authorities are also conducting efforts to locate and arrest other individuals allegedly linked to the incident. Police said raids are being carried out at different locations as the investigation continues.
Officials said the girl’s body had reportedly been buried after her death. Following the discovery of the alleged crime, authorities exhumed the body for further investigation.
The body was subsequently shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for a post-mortem examination. The medical examination is expected to help investigators determine the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death.
Police are awaiting the post-mortem findings as they continue investigating the case. Authorities are also collecting evidence and attempting to establish the events that led to the child’s death.
Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau took notice of the incident after it was reported. He sought detailed reports from the Nushki SP and DIG Rakhshan Division.
The minister directed law enforcement authorities to take immediate action against those responsible. He also called for efforts to bring all individuals allegedly involved in the case to justice.
Police teams are continuing raids at various locations as part of the investigation. Officials said further arrests could follow as investigators gather additional evidence.
The case has caused concern in the local community, particularly because the alleged victim was only eight years old.
The girl’s family has demanded justice and called for the arrest of everyone allegedly involved in the incident.
Authorities are expected to determine the facts of the case through the ongoing investigation and forensic examination. The post-mortem report will be an important part of the evidence being reviewed by investigators.
