Mohammad Rizwan deliver sermon along with Shaheen in a mosque in Lahore

Mohammad Rizwan, a wicket-keeper batter, delivered a speech in a mosque at the start of the third Ashra of the holy month of Ramadan.

The right-handed batter can be seen standing in a mosque delivering a sermon while Shaheen Shah Afridi is also present in a viral video clip on social media.

During his speech, the 30-year-old cricketer, who is known for his religious beliefs, emphasised the importance of faith in Allah and how it shapes lives.

It is worth noting that during the tri-series last year, the Peshawar-born cricketer also delivered a sermon on Islamic doctrine to the Muslim community in Christchurch.

In 2021, the star batter will also present the Holy Quran to Matthew Hayden, a former Australian opener and Pakistan’s batting consultant for the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Rizwan received widespread acclaim last year after a photo of him reading the Quran on a flight to the Netherlands for the three-match ODI series went viral on social media.
