Karachi Registers Another Polio Case In Pakistan

A 31-month-old child in Gajru union council, Karachi East, has been diagnosed with the disease. The same union council reported the fourth polio case this year, according to a Ministry of Health spokesperson.

The spokesperson mentioned that the polio virus affects children with weak immune systems. Collaborative efforts with international partners are underway to eliminate this debilitating disease.

Polio, highly contagious and spreading through contaminated water or food, invades the nervous system, causing total paralysis rapidly.
