The University of Karachi has officially annulled the LLB degree of Islamabad High Court Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri over allegations of misconduct and academic malpractice.
According to an official notification, the university has canceled both his LLB result and degree. In addition, Tariq Mehmood has been barred from enrolling in any educational institution or taking exams for the next three years.
The notification also revealed that he was never a regular student at Islamia Law College, Karachi, despite records suggesting otherwise.
This action follows an investigation into claims that Justice Tariq Mehmood had used unfair means during his studies, prompting the university to impose strict academic sanctions.
