The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially released the schedule for Pakistan’s five-match ODI series in England, set to take place from May 15 to May 26, 2027. The tour will form an important part of both teams’ preparations for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.
The global tournament is scheduled to be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia from October 4 to November 21, 2027. With the World Cup only a few months away, the ODI series will give Pakistan and England an opportunity to test combinations, assess players, and strengthen their squads.
The opening match will be played in Southampton on May 15. The second ODI will take place in Manchester on May 19, followed by the third game in Leeds on May 21. The fourth match is scheduled for Chester-le-Street on May 23, while the series will conclude in Cardiff on May 26.
Pakistan currently occupy fifth position in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings, while England are placed seventh. The five-match contest is expected to provide valuable experience and competitive preparation for both sides ahead of the World Cup.
Pakistan last played an ODI series in England in 2021. The hosts won that three-match series by 3-0. However, Babar Azam delivered a memorable performance and finished as the leading run-scorer with 177 runs. His impressive tally included a brilliant innings of 158 in the third ODI.
Pakistan and England have faced each other in 91 One-Day Internationals. England have won 56 matches, while Pakistan have recorded 32 victories. The remaining three games ended in either a tie or no result.
The 2027 series is expected to attract significant interest, as both teams look to build momentum and finalize their strongest combinations before the upcoming Cricket World Cup.
