Amid rising diplomatic and military tensions between Pakistan and India, 22 members of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, including three diplomats, have returned to India via the Wagah border, sources confirmed on Wednesday.
The departure, overseen by Indian diplomat Rahul Kumar Rakesh, was carried out in two phases. On Tuesday, one diplomat, eight staff members, and two family members crossed over, followed by two more diplomats, 11 staff members, and two additional family members on Wednesday.

This development follows an intensification of military rhetoric from both nations, as both sides exchange warnings and adopt precautionary measures to mitigate potential risks.
Sources indicate that the Indian High Commission in Islamabad has scaled back its operations as part of heightened security protocols amid fears of further escalation.
