The Excise and Taxation Department in Islamabad has announced strict measures for vehicle registration, warning of revocation starting January 1 for unpaid token taxes. Defaulters will face a 200% penalty on overdue payments under the new policy.
An Excise spokesperson urged vehicle owners to clear overdue taxes promptly to avoid legal action. A 20-day grace period has been provided to facilitate taxpayers, emphasizing timely payments to avoid penalties.
