[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]A 24-year-old guy was detained by the Delhi Police on Tuesday for reportedly killing his girlfriend in the Najafgarh neighbourhood of Delhi. Over the course of the two nights of February 9 and 10, Sahil Gahlot killed his lover Nikki Yadav. The accused killed the 25-year-old woman and placed her body in a refrigerator at his dhaba in the village of Mitraon.
Surprisingly, Sahil wed a different girl the same day. On February 10, police got information on the incident. A police crew arrived in Mitraon village to look for the suspect. Sahil also turned off his cell phone.
“It came to know that the accused is not present in his house. Intensive search was made in the village and nearby area. After sincere efforts by the team, the accused namely Sahil Gehlot, 24 years, R/O Padarth Pana, Village Mitraon, was apprehended by the team from Kair village crossing, Delhi,” said the Delhi Police.
The accused confessed to his crime when questioned. Sahil and Nikki had been dating for the last few years. As they both often rode the same bus to their respective institutes, the accused and the woman first crossed paths in 2018.
At the Career Point Coaching Center in Uttam Nagar, Sahil was studying for the SSC examinations, and Nikki was getting ready for the Akash Institute’s medical admission exam. They quickly developed feelings for one another.
According to the authorities, after leaving their residences during the Covid lockdown, they resumed living together in a rented home in the Dwarka neighbourhood. He kept his relationship with Nikki a secret from his family, though.
Sahil consented to marry another woman in December of last year under pressure from his family. The accused kept the deceased’s engagement and marriage arrangements a secret from her. However, a fight between the two started when Nikki challenged Sahil.
Using a data cord from the deceased’s mobile phone that was kept in his car, the accused strangled the victim. He then took her corpse to his own dhaba and placed it inside a refrigerator.
The body was found in the refrigerator by the cops. Sahil has been the subject of a murder investigation. The matter was the subject of a thorough police investigation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
