Aisamul Haq Chosen As Pakistan Tennis Federation President

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Aisamul Haq Qureshi has been elected as the new president of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) for the term spanning 2024 to 2028. The election took place at the PTF SDA Tennis Complex in Islamabad, with representatives from all affiliated units participating in the process. In a closely contested election, Aisam secured 8 votes, defeating his rival Maj General (retd) Asghar Nawaz, who received 7 votes for the presidential position.

Alongside Aisam’s victory, Lt. Col. retired Zia Uddin Tufail was elected as the PTF Secretary General, and Arif Qureshi was appointed as the new treasurer. Zia Uddin obtained 8 votes, surpassing Suleman Javed’s 7, while Arif Qureshi clinched 9 votes against Umar Farooq’s 6.

Expressing his excitement after the election, Aisam mentioned that during his 25-year playing career, he dedicated himself to bringing honors to his country. Now, as the president of the federation, he aims to deliver his best and share the knowledge he gained at the international level with young Pakistani players.
