In the presence of Caretaker Chief Minister Moshin Naqvi, the government signed an agreement with the National Highways and Motorway Police to enforce this ban.

The agreement mandates the Punjab Transport Department and the Motorway Police to share information regarding vehicle fitness and route permits. Focal persons from both departments will oversee the exchange of information and ensure rule enforcement.

This initiative is part of the provincial government’s measures to combat smog in Punjab. CM Moshin Naqvi praised the environmentally friendly effort during the ceremony.

In a significant announcement concerning unregistered Chingchi rickshaws, he specified a one-month window for free vehicle registration. Unregistered rickshaws will not be permitted on the roads after this period.

Furthermore, the caretaker CM disclosed plans for establishing a trauma center at the Lahore-Islamabad M2 Motorway in collaboration with the National Highway Authority.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
