The Grand Alliance of Private Schools Associations (GAPSA) Sindh has raised serious concerns regarding the Karachi Matriculation Board exams, stating that conducting the examinations under the current arrangements is practically impossible. The association highlighted that the preparations are incomplete and poorly organized, creating confusion and stress for students across the city.
GAPSA has called on the Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards to postpone the Secondary Education Board Karachi exam schedule by at least one week, citing that admit cards for a significant number of schools have not yet been uploaded to the official portal. The association emphasized that without proper access to admit cards, students cannot appear for exams, and the examination process cannot proceed fairly.
The association strongly criticized the creation of examination centers in a chaotic and indiscriminate manner, describing the situation as a “joke with education.” GAPSA underlined that every student has a fundamental right to a peaceful and conducive environment while taking examinations. They warned that the lack of proper arrangements and communication could negatively affect the futures of approximately 400,000 students, and that such mismanagement should not occur due to the personal ego or pride of any individual.
Providing inaccurate or false information in a critical process like matriculation exams is a serious issue that can disrupt the entire education system, the association noted. They also pointed out that many schools were unaware of the establishment of examination centers, further complicating the examination process.
GAPSA Sindh has stated that it will announce its future course of action at 4 PM today, indicating that further measures may be taken if the situation is not addressed promptly. The association continues to demand immediate intervention to ensure that exams are conducted fairly, smoothly, and without jeopardizing the academic future of thousands of students in Karachi.
