A woman in Faisalabad has accused her Husband of selling her to one of his friends in exchange for a loan of Rs. 70,000. She also claims that police have not yet arrested the accused or recovered her children despite her repeated requests for help.
According to the woman, identified as 33-year-old Nadia, she is currently living with her widowed mother in Madanpura after escaping the alleged abuse. She said she married her Husband, Usman, a resident of Mananwala, about 12 years ago. The couple has three children together.
Nadia stated that the family later moved to a rented house in Ansari Park, Kokianwala. She alleged that during this time, her Husband borrowed Rs. 70,000 from his friend, Shehzad, who works as a property dealer.
She claimed that after taking the loan, Shehzad began visiting their home frequently. Nadia said she objected to these visits, but her husband allegedly responded by physically abusing her.
According to her allegations, when Shehzad later demanded repayment of the loan, her husband allegedly handed her over instead of returning the money. She described the incident as a forced arrangement carried out without her consent.
The woman further alleged that after the incident, her husband left with their eight-year-old son, Abuzar, and ten-year-old daughter, Madiha. She also claimed that Shehzad and several accomplices held her and her four-year-old son, Shehryar, at gunpoint before taking them to another house.
Nadia alleged that she was prevented from contacting her relatives and was kept away from her family. She said she remained under constant threats during that period.
According to her statement, the suspects later prepared a fake divorce document dated August 7, 2025. She claimed they used her national identity card to obtain stamp papers and forced her to sign the documents and provide thumb impressions.
She also alleged that nine days later she was taken to court and forced into another marriage. Nadia claimed she accepted the marriage only because she was threatened with harm to her young son.
The woman said she remained under abuse and intimidation for nearly one year. She added that her brothers eventually traced her location and rescued her on June 17 before bringing her back to her mother’s home.
Despite returning home, Nadia claimed that Shehzad continues to threaten her family over the phone. She also alleged that her four-year-old son is still in his custody, while her other children have not yet been reunited with her.
According to Nadia, she has submitted a formal application to the Faisalabad Capital City Police Officer (CPO), requesting legal action against the accused. However, she alleged that police have not yet arrested the suspects or recovered her children.
She has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Inspector General of Punjab Police to intervene in the case. She requested immediate assistance in recovering her three children and ensuring legal action against those she has accused.
