Petrol Prices Remain Unchanged as Government Keeps Fuel Rates Stable

The federal government has decided to keep Petrol prices unchanged as the country closes the 2025-26 fiscal year. The latest decision means motorists will continue paying the current fuel rates for another week, with no increase or reduction announced for the end of June.

According to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division, Petrol will remain priced at Rs. 299.78 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) will stay at Rs. 311.56 per litre.

The government confirmed that the existing prices will remain effective until the next fuel price review. The decision provides short-term stability for consumers and businesses that depend on petroleum products.

Petrol and Diesel Prices Stay the Same

The latest announcement comes as the government concludes the current fiscal year without making any further adjustments to fuel prices.

The Petroleum Division released an official notification confirming that the current rates will continue for one more week.

As a result, motorists across Pakistan will continue purchasing Petrol at Rs. 299.78 per litre, while diesel users will pay Rs. 311.56 per litre.

The government did not provide additional reasons for maintaining the existing prices. However, the move avoids another revision before the start of the new fiscal year.

Major Fuel Price Cut Announced Last Week

The latest decision follows a significant reduction in fuel prices announced only a week earlier.

On June 19, the government reduced the price of Petrol by Rs. 74 per litre. At the same time, the price of diesel was lowered by Rs. 64 per litre.

Following that revision, Petrol was fixed at Rs. 299.78 per litre, while diesel was set at Rs. 311.56 per litre.

The government has now chosen to keep those reduced rates unchanged instead of introducing another adjustment before the month ends.

Consumers Continue to Benefit

The decision offers temporary relief for households, transport companies, and businesses that rely on fuel for daily operations.

Stable fuel prices also help commercial transport operators estimate operating costs more accurately.

Farmers and logistics companies are among the sectors that closely monitor fuel price changes because diesel powers many heavy vehicles and agricultural machines.

Keeping prices unchanged allows businesses to continue benefiting from the reductions introduced last week.

Next Fuel Price Review

Fuel prices in Pakistan are reviewed periodically based on several factors. These include international oil prices, exchange rate movements, and government taxation policies.

The current notification only extends the existing prices for another week.

Any future increase or decrease in Petrol and diesel prices will depend on market conditions and the government’s next pricing decision.
