The Sindh government has issued new directives to improve the education system and administrative affairs across the province.
The Sindh School Education Department has decided to recruit new non-teaching staff for Grades 1 to 4. The decision is expected to help address staffing needs in government schools.
Under an order issued by Section Officer General Iqbal Junejo, recruitment powers have been delegated to divisional directors. The move will allow recruitment matters to be handled at the divisional level.
The order states that all appointments must be made through the concerned authorised selection committee. The committees will work according to the approved recruitment policy and relevant rules and regulations.
The department has also placed clear restrictions on the recruitment process. Only posts included in the official budget book will be filled under the new directives.
This means departments cannot make appointments against posts that have not been approved in the budget. The measure is aimed at ensuring that recruitment remains within the approved financial framework.
The order also requires authorities to verify the eligibility of selected candidates before making their final appointments. Candidates will therefore need to meet the required qualifications and other conditions for the relevant positions.
The decision comes as the provincial government continues efforts to improve administrative management in the education sector. Non-teaching staff play an important role in supporting the daily operations of government schools.
