[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Pakistan’s debut lunar satellite, iCube-Qamar, transmitted its inaugural images from the lunar orbit on Friday, as confirmed by the national space agency. The first snapshots were unveiled at a ceremony hosted by the China National Space Agency (CNSA) to commemorate the mission’s achievement. During the event, the images were officially handed over to Pakistan’s ambassador.

The transmitted image depicts the moon and sun shining brightly, with expectations for more images to be relayed from the orbit in the upcoming days. This milestone comes after China’s Chang’e-6 lunar probe, carrying Pakistan’s inaugural moon mission, successfully entered the lunar orbit on Wednesday.

The Chinese mission includes Pakistan’s first lunar satellite, ICUBE-Q, which was launched from China’s Wenchang Space Launch Site. Developed jointly by Pakistan’s Institute of Space Technology, China’s Shanghai University, and Pakistan’s SUPARCO, ICUBE-Q is equipped with two advanced optical cameras poised to capture stunning images of the lunar surface.

This collaborative effort reflects Pakistan’s increasing involvement in space exploration endeavors. The successful transmission of images marks a significant step forward in Pakistan’s space exploration aspirations, fostering collaboration with international partners to unlock the mysteries of the cosmos.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
