The accountability court had temporarily suspended the arrest warrants issued for Nawaz in the Toshakhana reference until the present date.
Additionally, Nawaz Sharif’s legal representative has submitted three separate appeals to the court. These appeals include a request to reinstate his confiscated assets in the Toshakhana reference, another to appoint a pleader for the case, and a third application for the submission of bail bonds in court. Qazi Misbahul Hasan presented these appeals on behalf of Nawaz Sharif.

On Tuesday morning, PPP leader and former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani also arrived at the court, as he is implicated in the same Toshakhana case alongside Nawaz and former President Asif Zardari. Gilani marked his presence in the court before departing.
Conversely, PPP leader Asif Zardari’s plea for exemption from appearing in the Toshakhana case was submitted by senior counsel Farooq H. Naik. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir, while delivering his reserved verdict, warned that if Nawaz Sharif failed to appear in court on October 24, the arrest warrants would be reinstated.
The NAB prosecutor did not oppose the bail request and argued that if Nawaz Sharif intended to attend the court proceedings, the warrant should be suspended since its purpose is to ensure a person’s presence in court.

PML-N leaders Nasir Butt and Nehal Hashmi arrived at the accountability court early in the morning. Hashmi emphasized the party’s commitment to justice and expressed faith in the judicial system and the Chief Justice’s role in ensuring justice.
Meanwhile, at the high court, a division bench will address the PML-N leader’s petition for the reinstatement of appeals related to his sentences in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references today. A division bench of the Islamabad High Court had previously granted protective bail to Nawaz Sharif until October 24. This decision was announced by IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb, who had reserved their judgment a day earlier. The court also prohibited the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting him until October 24.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
