Residents of Islamabad can now register births, marriages, deaths, and divorces online through the Pak ID mobile application, eliminating the need to visit Union Council offices.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced that the facility has been launched in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).
The service is available across all Union Councils in the Islamabad Capital Territory and allows citizens to complete civil registration procedures from their homes.
Under the new system, residents can submit applications online, make secure digital payments, and receive digitally verified certificates through the Pak ID app.
Officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to improve public service delivery and promote digital governance by making essential government services more accessible and convenient.
The CDA stated that the new platform will simplify registration procedures, reduce paperwork, shorten processing times, and eliminate the need for in-person visits to government offices.
Authorities believe the move will enhance efficiency, improve citizen experience, and support Pakistan’s ongoing transition toward digital public services.
