Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal has expanded its international operations with a new route between Madinah and Karachi. The Saudi Airline has started two weekly flights on the new route.
The new service strengthens air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. It also gives passengers another direct travel option between the two major cities.
Flyadeal, a carrier under the Saudia Group, officially launched the route on Sunday. Its first flight departed from Madinah and arrived in Karachi. The launch marks another step in the airline’s expansion across the Pakistani market.
The new flights will operate twice a week. Passengers traveling between Madinah and Karachi can now use the direct service for their journeys.
The route will be served by flyadeal’s Airbus A320neo aircraft. The planes are configured with 186 seats, all offered in Economy Class.
The aircraft also provide several features aimed at improving the passenger experience. Each seat includes either USB-A or USB-C charging facilities. This allows travelers to charge compatible electronic devices during the flight.
The Airbus A320neo aircraft also feature larger overhead storage bins. These provide passengers with additional space for cabin baggage. The planes are also equipped with mood lighting for a more comfortable cabin environment.
Madinah is now the second Saudi city with a direct flyadeal connection to Karachi. Riyadh was previously the only Saudi city offering a direct flyadeal service to Karachi.
The new route also highlights the airline’s growing presence in Pakistan. Flyadeal entered the Pakistani market last year with only two routes.
Since then, the Saudi Airline has expanded its network considerably. Its presence in Pakistan has now grown to seven routes.
The expansion comes as air travel links between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue to remain important. Thousands of passengers travel between the two countries for business, tourism, employment, and religious purposes.
The new Madinah-Karachi service provides another direct connection for travelers. It may also support greater passenger movement between the two markets.
Flyadeal’s growing network in Pakistan reflects its wider international expansion strategy. The airline continues to add destinations while offering low-cost travel options.
