Solar panel prices have started declining in Lahore, with rates dropping by Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 9,000 across various panel categories, according to market sources.
Traders attribute the price reduction to the recent decrease in petroleum prices, which has lowered transportation and logistics costs across the supply chain.
Market participants expect solar equipment prices to decline further in the coming weeks if fuel prices remain stable, potentially making renewable energy solutions more affordable for consumers.
Industry sources also indicated that battery prices are likely to decrease after witnessing significant increases during the period of higher fuel costs.
According to traders, battery prices had previously surged by Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 38,000 per unit due to rising transportation and operational expenses.
The latest decline in solar panel prices is expected to provide relief to households and businesses looking to install solar systems as a way to reduce electricity costs and dependence on the national grid.
With energy prices remaining a major concern for consumers, lower solar equipment costs could encourage greater adoption of renewable energy solutions across the country.
