The statement noted that the Somali pirates surrendered without resistance, and naval teams conducted a thorough inspection of the vessel before safely escorting it to ensure the crew could resume their normal activities.

Following the rescue, the navy conducted comprehensive checks on the vessel before escorting it to a secure location.

In a separate incident last month, Pakistan’s Navy and Maritime Security Agency rescued nine Indian citizens who had been stranded in the Arabian Sea. The Indian citizens remained stranded for 24 hours before their rescue, prompting Pakistani forces to dispatch long-range maritime patrol aircraft and the PMSS Kashmir multi-purpose vessel for a search and rescue operation upon receiving information about the stranded Indian boat.

In Muzaffarabad, a branch of the American fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was set on fire and vandalized by demonstrators protesting against Israel in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.

Late on Friday night, a large group of protesters marched on Kotli Road and stormed the KFC outlet, accusing it of backing Israeli forces in Gaza. They ransacked the premises before setting it ablaze, causing significant damage.

Following the unrest, Azad Kashmir police initiated an operation against the attackers, leading to the arrest of over 50 individuals involved in clashes with law enforcement.

International media reports stated that an Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Mirpur, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), and three police officers sustained injuries during the clashes.
