Karachi Man Beats Armed Mugger During Robbery

In Karachi, the largest city in the country, there has been a notable surge in street crime, with incidents of theft, muggings, and robberies becoming increasingly common. This rise in criminal activity has also led to instances of vigilante justice as frustrated citizens take matters into their own hands.

A particularly bold act of citizen intervention occurred near Five Star Chowrangi, where a daring individual apprehended an armed robber during a mugging attempt. The incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed on the street. The footage shows a man repairing his vehicle outside his house when two individuals on a motorcycle approached him with the intent to rob him.

As one of the robbers attempted to brandish his weapon, the man swiftly seized his hand, preventing him from doing so. Meanwhile, the other robber attempted to flee the scene. However, the citizen managed to overpower him, wresting the pistol from his grasp and delivering a series of punches.

Upon witnessing the commotion, passersby and nearby residents rushed to the scene and proceeded to subdue the accused. The apprehended thug was subsequently handed over to the Shahrah Noor Jahan police.

The video footage of this brave act quickly went viral, with many people commending the courageous individual for standing up to the robbers who had been terrorizing the city.

In Muzaffarabad, a branch of the American fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was set on fire and vandalized by demonstrators protesting against Israel in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.

Late on Friday night, a large group of protesters marched on Kotli Road and stormed the KFC outlet, accusing it of backing Israeli forces in Gaza. They ransacked the premises before setting it ablaze, causing significant damage.

Numerous videos shared online depict protesters chanting slogans against Israel and causing destruction in their anger.

Local law enforcement swiftly intervened to control the situation, using tear gas to disperse the protesters. Footage also captured the chaos as rioters fled the scene to escape the fire engulfing the restaurant.

Following the unrest, Azad Kashmir police initiated an operation against the attackers, leading to the arrest of over 50 individuals involved in clashes with law enforcement.

International media reports stated that an Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Mirpur, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), and three police officers sustained injuries during the clashes.
