Following the rain, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi announced the decision to lift lockdown measures in the region. In a social media post, CM Naqvi stated that the government had decided to revoke the lockdown after evaluating the improved air quality post the recent rainfall. He mentioned that all markets would reopen the next day, and restaurants could resume operations after 6 pm.

Earlier, the Punjab CM instructed the police not to force traders into closing their businesses during these challenging times. He emphasized that no one should compel traders to shut their shops, affirming their freedom to operate even on Fridays.
