Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially become the highest-grossing movie of 2026 after surpassing $1 billion at the global box office within its first week of release.
According to industry reports, the Marvel and Sony blockbuster earned more than $1.15 billion worldwide in just seven days, overtaking Toy Story 5 to claim the top spot at the 2026 global box office.
The film’s record-breaking performance follows a historic opening weekend, which saw it generate around $932 million globally, making it one of the fastest films ever to reach the billion-dollar milestone.
Starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has dominated cinemas across major international markets, driven by strong audience demand and positive reviews. The film has also set multiple box office records during its opening week.
