Indian actress Huma Qureshi has finally addressed ongoing speculation surrounding her marriage, saying she is currently focused on her career and has no timeline for tying the knot. The actress clarified that while marriage is certainly part of her future plans, it will happen only when the time is right.
Speaking in an interview with HT City, the 40-year-old actress responded to rumours regarding her relationship with acting coach Rachit Singh, with whom she has been seen at several public outings and dinner dates in Mumbai over the past few months.
Responding to repeated questions about her wedding plans, Huma jokingly said, “You and my mum have the same questions! I don’t have an answer to when the wedding is going to happen.”
The actress explained that she is currently prioritizing her professional commitments over her personal life. According to Huma, the year has been extremely busy, leaving little room to think about marriage.
“Marriage will happen when it’s meant to happen. I have a lot of work to do. This is a very busy year and, right now, I am just focusing on that,” she added.
The actress’s remarks come after recent public appearances with Rachit Singh sparked widespread speculation on social media. Fans and entertainment portals had begun questioning whether the two were preparing to get married after they were spotted together on multiple occasions.
Although Huma did not directly comment on the nature of her relationship with Singh, her latest statement makes it clear that she is not planning a wedding anytime soon and remains committed to her work.
Huma Qureshi and Rachit Singh recently collaborated on the thriller Baby Do Die Do. The actress not only played the lead role in the film but also served as one of its producers. Directed by Nachiket Samant, the thriller was released on July 3 and marked another important milestone in Huma’s career as both an actor and producer.
Over the years, Huma Qureshi has established herself as one of India’s most versatile performers. She gained nationwide recognition with her breakthrough role in Gangs of Wasseypur, a performance that earned widespread critical acclaim and opened the door to several major film projects.
Since then, she has appeared in numerous successful films and web series, including the political drama Maharani, where her performance received praise from both critics and audiences. She is also part of the much-anticipated Jolly LLB 3, further strengthening her position in the Indian film industry.
Huma’s comments have largely been welcomed by fans, many of whom praised her for choosing to focus on her career instead of responding to constant speculation about her personal life. Others appreciated her candid and humorous response, noting that public figures often face repeated questions regarding marriage regardless of their professional achievements.
As her latest projects continue to receive attention, Huma Qureshi appears determined to keep her focus on acting and filmmaking. While marriage may eventually happen, the actress has made it clear that, for now, her career remains her top priority.
