Dev Patel to Play ‘Disgraced’ Pakistani Businessman

According to Deadline, the captivating series is set in the Middle East and follows the life of Arif Naqvi, played by Patel, a Pakistani businessman and the founder of Abraaj, a private equity firm based in Dubai. As the story unfolds, Naqvi’s world begins to crumble as his deceitful actions towards investors and grand illusions come to light, leading to his downfall as a public figure.

At just 32 years old, Patel is not only taking on the lead role but is also executive producing the series alongside Scott Delman and Florence Sloan, who acquired the rights to the gripping book. Patel has garnered widespread recognition for his exceptional performances in various successful films.
