[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has decided to postpone its strike until Monday following talks with Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik.

In a “Letter of Understanding” issued on Friday, the Association stated that they have agreed to a reasonable upward revision in dealers’ margins based on the discussions. The exact increase in margins will be determined using acceptable actual data from all stakeholders, and the revised margin figure will be announced within the next 48 hours.

Initially, the Association had planned an indefinite distribution shutdown from 6 AM on Saturday (July 22). The decision came after the PPDA Chairman issued an official notice, citing significant losses due to the growing sales of petrol and diesel smuggled from Iran.

When announcing the strike, the association had already sent a letter to the petroleum minister, highlighting this and other issues. However, the minister had not responded to the association’s grievances at that time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
