BANNU: On Saturday, unidentified assailants attacked a police vehicle in the Bannu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, killing one policeman and injuring another. A hand grenade was thrown at the police officers by the armed suspects as they opened fire with automatic weapons while Gul Muhammad, SHO of the Dumel police station, and his team were on a routine patrol.
As a result, head constable Pasham Khan was shot, dying instantly, while constable Shah Wali Khan was hurt. The incident happened inside the jurisdiction of the Township police station. The dead and injured soldiers were taken to the hospital right away by the police.
