The DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Programme is offering fully funded scholarships for international students, including applicants from Pakistan, who want to study in Germany in fields like public policy, governance, and development.
Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, this programme is designed to train future leaders from developing countries. It focuses on students who want to bring positive change in areas like public administration, social policy, and governance systems after returning to their home countries, including Pakistan.
For Pakistani students, this is a rare chance to study in Europe without worrying about financial pressure. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, monthly living expenses, health insurance, and in many cases travel costs, making it one of the most attractive study-abroad opportunities available.
To apply, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in subjects such as Political Science, Law, Economics, Public Policy, Public Administration, or other social sciences. Strong academic performance and a clear interest in public service or development work are key requirements.
The programme mainly targets recent graduates, but applicants with relevant experience can also apply. Selected students are expected to show a strong commitment to using their education to contribute to development and reform efforts in their home country after completing their studies.
