Billie Eilish Achieves Billboard Milestone for the Third Time

Billie Eilish has achieved another significant milestone in the American music charts. Her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, has secured the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200, just behind Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, which has maintained its lead for eight consecutive weeks.

While Hit Me Hard and Soft remains in second place, Eilish’s previous album, Happier Than Ever, has reached a notable milestone by staying on the Billboard 200 for 150 weeks. This marks the third project by Eilish to achieve this impressive record, highlighting her consistent presence in the music industry.

Eilish’s longest-running success on the Billboard 200 is her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which has accumulated 272 weeks on the chart. This debut album significantly contributed to her rise to stardom over five years ago. Her earlier EP, Don’t Smile at Me, also boasts an impressive 253 weeks on the Billboard 200.

In the most recent tracking week, Happier Than Ever earned an additional 8,700 equivalent units, according to Luminate. Despite a slight drop of over 5% from the previous week, the album remains strong, although it has fallen 15 places on the Billboard 200.

Currently, Hit Me Hard and Soft is Eilish’s fourth-longest-charting title on the Billboard 200, with just four weeks on the chart so far. It shares this position with her Prime Day Show EP, a live recording released in 2021, which peaked at No. 87. While it may take years for Eilish to see another project reach the 150-week milestone, Hit Me Hard and Soft has the potential to follow in the footsteps of her previous successful releases.
