The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved another increase in electricity prices.
The regulator has raised the electricity tariff by Rs. 0.52 per unit. The increase comes under the quarterly adjustment mechanism.

Consumers will pay an extra Rs. 0.52 per unit for three months. The adjustment will apply to electricity bills for September, October, and November 2026.
The increase will affect consumers across the country. It will also apply to customers receiving electricity from K-Electric.
The latest tariff adjustment follows another increase approved earlier this month. On September 4, NEPRA increased electricity prices by Rs. 2.06 per unit.
That increase was approved under the monthly adjustment mechanism. Both decisions are expected to raise electricity costs for consumers.
