Karachi E-Challan system is getting more accessible as the city’s Traffic Police have launched 11 facilitation centers to help citizens facing issues with online fines. The initiative aims to make the penalty system smoother and more transparent for drivers struggling with payment or verification problems.
According to officials, the Karachi E-Challan facilitation centers are now operational across different traffic zones, offering services such as fine record verification, vehicle information, and complaint registration. Motorists can now visit these help desks to resolve discrepancies in their challan records instead of waiting in long queues or dealing with online system glitches.
The Karachi Traffic Police said the decision came after a rise in public complaints about duplicate or incorrect challans appearing in the digital system. Many motorists also reported delays in updates after making payments, which caused inconvenience during routine traffic checks. The new centers are designed to handle these issues efficiently while improving trust in the Karachi E-Challan mechanism.
Recently, the digital fine system has proved to be a major source of revenue, collecting millions from violators. As reported earlier, the Karachi E-Challan drive generated over Rs 12.5 million in a short span, showing how actively the department is enforcing road safety and payment compliance.
Officials believe these facilitation centers will strengthen coordination between the public and law enforcement while promoting traffic discipline in the city. Citizens are encouraged to check their Karachi E-Challan details regularly and clear dues through authorized channels to avoid penalties or legal actions.
