A delegation from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) met President Asif Ali Zardari to discuss easing political tensions between the ruling party and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq traveled from Islamabad to Nawabshah by special aircraft. Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi also arrived from Lahore. The delegation was warmly received by President Zardari at Zardari House.
During the meeting, discussions covered national security, political developments, and regional and global issues. Ishaq Dar briefed the President on the recent United Nations General Assembly session and meetings with international leaders.
Sources confirmed that Dar and Sadiq delivered a message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Following the discussion, both parties agreed to refrain from public criticism, helping reduce tensions between the two major political groups.
The PML-N delegation departed in a cordial atmosphere. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who also met with the President, played a significant role in lowering political strains and fostering dialogue between the parties.
