Mawra Hocane Hopes for Bollywood Comeback, Expresses Desire to Work with Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor

Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, best known for her Bollywood debut in Sanam Teri Kasam, has expressed her aspiration to collaborate with two of Bollywood’s biggest superstars, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. In a recent interview, Hocane shared her admiration for both actors, revealing her hopes for future projects alongside them.

“I’ve been a big fan of Salman Khan and have watched all his films while growing up,” Hocane said, adding, “I hope he doesn’t retire anytime soon. I want him to work forever, and I hope there’s a chance where I can be a part of his film.” She also named Ranbir Kapoor as another actor she’s eager to work with, particularly inspired by his performance in Rockstar. “I would love to do a film like Rockstar with him; it’s a movie I’ve watched many times,” she said.

Hocane’s comments come after the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam, which has gained cult status since its 2016 debut. The film’s recent re-release outperformed new films at the box office, with Hocane thanking her fans for their unwavering support on social media.

Reflecting on her career, Hocane spoke about the challenges she’s faced and her evolving approach to selecting roles. “As you grow older, you realise your responsibility as an actor and constantly want to give back,” she explained, emphasizing her focus on quality scripts, whether from India or Pakistan.

Due to political tensions, Hocane had to step back from several Bollywood projects in the past but expressed her desire to return to Mumbai if circumstances improve. “If the circumstances allow, I would definitely want to come back to Mumbai and shoot again,” she shared, holding out hope for future collaborations in Bollywood.
