On Wednesday, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced plans to auction two luxury hotel plots on December 17, 2024, as part of efforts to attract international investment. These plots are specifically targeted at overseas Pakistanis and global corporations, aiming to enhance Islamabad’s real estate sector and economic growth.
Focus on Overseas Pakistanis and Investment Opportunities
The CDA meeting, chaired by the CDA chairman, highlighted various projects designed to provide attractive investment opportunities for overseas Pakistanis. These initiatives aim to contribute to national development and create avenues for investment in Islamabad’s expanding real estate market.

Solid Waste Management and IT Initiatives
The CDA also reviewed the progress of the city’s integrated solid waste management system. The bidding documents for outsourcing waste management services are being finalized, and a specialized waste management company is set to be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The authority is also considering unsolicited proposals for waste management and will conduct further evaluations to assess their feasibility.
In addition, CDA officials presented updates on IT initiatives, including the new digital parking system designed to improve service delivery and enhance the overall experience for Islamabad residents.
