The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday issued a notice to the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) regarding PTI founder Imran Khan’s bail application in the Toshakhana-II case. Previously, the special judge central had denied Imran Khan’s bail plea but granted bail to his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the same case. The hearing has been adjourned indefinitely, and the court registrar will set a new date.
The FIA has recently challenged Bushra Bibi’s bail in the Toshakhana-II case at the Supreme Court. The agency argued that her bail, granted in the IHC judge’s chamber, violated Supreme Court guidelines. The FIA further claimed that Bushra Bibi, along with her husband Imran Khan, was implicated in the case.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court had granted Bushra Bibi bail in the Toshakhana-II case. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb approved her bail on the condition of posting Rs1 million surety bonds and ordered her immediate release from custody.
Notably, a special central judge had initially rejected bail requests from both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana-II case. The couple was arrested by a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team in July, shortly after being acquitted in a separate Iddat case, where they had previously received a seven-year prison sentence and a fine of Rs500,000 each for a fraudulent marriage.
