Gold Price in Pakistan Hits New Record High with Latest Spike

Gold prices in Pakistan surged significantly on Friday, with the price per tola jumping by Rs1,400 to reach a historic Rs263,500, reflecting a similar increase in international gold rates. As reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,200, bringing the new price to Rs225,908. Globally, gold prices also climbed, reaching $2,518 per ounce after a $15 increase during the trading day, according to APGJSA.

Conversely, silver prices in the local market experienced a notable decrease, falling by Rs50 to Rs2,900 per tola. The ongoing fluctuations in local gold prices are influenced by the international market dynamics, as well as domestic factors such as currency exchange rates and national demand.
