New Video Emerges: Karsaz Accident Accused Says ‘Tum Mere Baap Ko Nahi Jante’

KARACHI: In the ongoing investigation of the Karsaz accident, a new video has surfaced showing the accused woman, who has been charged with killing Imran Arif, 60, and his daughter Amna Arif on August 19, making a provocative statement. In the video, she is heard saying, “Tum Mere Baap Ko Nahi Jante” (You don’t know my father).

The Karachi police have formed a special investigation team to probe the case. All CCTV footage from the scene has been collected and is under review. The blood test report for the female driver is expected within the next 24 hours, which may lead to additional sections being added to the FIR based on the medical findings.

The suspect has been repeatedly changing her statements during the investigation. Reports confirm she was driving from her home in DHA Scheme-I to her in-laws’ residence when the accident occurred. The vehicle involved is registered under a private company.

New developments include the addition of Section 322 Qatal-bis-Sabab (murder without intention) to the case, which carries a potential prison term of 10 to 18 years. Additionally, the victim’s family may choose a settlement, known as diyat (blood money), which requires the suspect to compensate with approximately Rs 6.8 million.

The police are continuing their efforts to collect more CCTV footage and have urged anyone else affected by the incident to come forward. DIG East has assured that justice will be served and extended condolences to the victims’ family, pledging full legal support. The accused remains in judicial custody as the investigation proceeds.
