[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized its 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the USA and the Caribbean next month. Captain Babar Azam will lead the team, with three additional players named as reserves.

A notable addition to the squad is Abbas Afridi, making his debut in a World Cup lineup. The young fast bowler has earned his place with impressive performances in recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches and international outings, strengthening the pace attack alongside Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf.

Babar Azam, widely recognized as one of the world’s top batsmen, will play a key role in anchoring the batting lineup. The team also includes power hitters and versatile all-rounders like Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Azam Khan, ensuring a balanced approach in both batting and bowling departments.

Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub are expected to provide explosive starts, while players like Mohammad Rizwan can stabilize the innings during the later stages.

In case of injuries or unforeseen events, Salman Ali Agha, Hassan Ali, and Irfan Khan Niazi have been selected as reserves, prepared to step in if needed.

Before the mega event in June, the team will play four T20Is in England from May 22 to 30, marking their final preparations. The squad announcement deadline set by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the T20 World Cup is May 25.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
