GWM Introduces ORA 5 Electric Car in Pakistan

Great Wall Motors (GWM) has officially launched the ORA 5 EV in Pakistan, introducing its all-electric hatchback at an ex-factory price of Rs8,599,000. The company has also started bookings, with customers required to make an initial payment of Rs1,700,000.

The ORA 5 is already available in several international markets, including China, Thailand, New Zealand, and South Africa. The Pakistani model features the same all-electric powertrain offered globally.

The vehicle is powered by a 58.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 435 kilometers on a single charge. Its front-mounted electric motor produces 201 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque, allowing the hatchback to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around eight seconds.

Compared to several hatchbacks currently available in Pakistan, including the Suzuki Swift, Dongfeng Box, and Kia Stonic, the ORA 5 offers a larger body, providing more cabin space and improved passenger comfort.

The electric vehicle comes equipped with a long list of premium technology and safety features. These include a full Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, a 14.6-inch 2K touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-speaker sound system, and 50W wireless phone charging.

Safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, emergency lane keeping, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver monitoring system. The ORA 5 also offers 360-degree cameras with a transparent chassis view to improve visibility while driving and parking.

Additional premium features include heated and ventilated front seats, power-adjustable seats with memory settings, a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting, a heat pump air-conditioning system with an N95 filter, and an electric tailgate.

With the launch of the ORA 5, GWM has further expanded its electric vehicle lineup in Pakistan as demand for EVs continues to grow in the local market.
