Customs Confiscates Illicit Mobile Phones At Karachi Airport

The Customs spokesperson reported that officers at the International Departure were inspecting passengers arriving from abroad.

During the inspection, a female passenger arriving from Sharjah, UAE, had her luggage screened, revealing 23 smartphones worth over Rs9 million. The passenger failed to provide tax details, resulting in a case being registered against her. Similarly, at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, customs officials thwarted a smuggling attempt worth around Rs8 million.

They apprehended a passenger arriving from the United States with smuggled goods, including cosmetics, garments, and other expensive items. The seized items included 54 perfumes, 126 cosmetic powders, over 12 lotions, 290 shirts and T-shirts, and various other materials.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
