Imran Khan Undergoes Fifth Eye Treatment at PIMS Hospital

Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, has undergone another round of medical treatment as part of his ongoing eye care, receiving his fifth intravitreal injection at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

According to medical sources, the 74-year-old was brought from Adiala Jail to PIMS during the night for a scheduled ophthalmology procedure. Doctors conducted a brief evaluation before confirming that his condition was stable for treatment.

Specialists reported that advanced eye imaging, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), indicated signs of improvement in his condition. After obtaining informed consent, the medical team administered the injection under sterile conditions in a fully monitored operating theatre.

The procedure was carried out as a day-care intervention, meaning no overnight hospital admission was required. Medical staff confirmed that Imran Khan remained stable throughout the process and did not face any complications before or after the treatment.

Following the procedure, he was discharged on the same day and returned to Adiala Jail after receiving post-treatment instructions and follow-up recommendations from doctors.

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan confirmed the development, stating that Khan was taken to PIMS for the scheduled injection and later returned after completion of the procedure. He added that PTI leadership was later informed about a follow-up medical check-up conducted earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, PTI leaders have reiterated their demand that Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa International Hospital for further treatment and have also called for regular family access to meet him. The latest update has once again intensified political discussion around his health and custodial medical care arrangements.
