The court also asked for a response from the agency.
The FIA had called Bushra Bibi to undergo a voice-matching test concerning a leaked audio recording in which she allegedly requested Zulfi Bukhari, a former minister, to sell watches acquired by the former prime minister from Toshakhana.
In the alleged audio, Bushra Bibi criticized the media for broadcasting it, claiming it harmed her reputation and caused distress.
Advocate Sardar Latif Khosa, in a filed plea, argued that the primary case was already under the court’s consideration, and on September 18, the court instructed the FIA to proceed within legal bounds. The advocate contended that continued FIA actions would impinge on the petitioner’s rights.

In her petition challenging the FIA’s investigation into the leaked audio case, Bushra Bibi stressed that the main case was already before the IHC. The court had previously directed the FIA to act in accordance with the law during a September 18 hearing.
The petition also pointed out that the main case is scheduled for another hearing on October 30.
Despite this ongoing legal process, the FIA issued a summons notice on September 19. In her petition, Bushra Bibi requested the court to suspend the FIA’s notice while the primary case remained pending, asserting that the agency’s actions could violate her rights.
Consequently, the IHC temporarily halted the proceedings and sought a response from the FIA.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
