Shahid Afridi told the media that his son-in-law, Shaheen Afridi, informed him that some national players wanted to meet the former all-rounder at his home.
The former captain indicated that he accepted the invitation, saying, “Whoever wants to come, can come.” Everyone who wanted to came [for supper].”

Before the fourth and fifth ODIs against New Zealand, Shahid Afridi hosted a meal for some national players at his residence in Karachi.
“Hosted Pakistan’s heroes for dinner, super proud of each and every one of you,” the former all-rounder posted on Twitter. “Best wishes for tomorrow.”
The absence of the all-format captain, on the other hand, did not go ignored, and cricket fans rushed to social media to speculate about the true reasons for his absence.
Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and others from the national team were among those who attended the dinner party.
Last month, Najam Sethi revealed that the Afridi-led Selection Committee was initially interested in making changes to the lineup, including replacing captain Babar Azam.
However, the former Chief Selector then explained his statement, stating that he had not advised replacing Babar Azam as Pakistan’s captain.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
