Iran Unveil New Football Kit for FIFA World Cup 2026

The Iran national football team has officially revealed its new kit for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, introducing a design that reflects both the country’s national identity and memories from the team’s previous World Cup appearance.

The newly launched jersey has been manufactured by a local Iranian sports brand and features a predominantly white design similar to the kit worn by Iran during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Officials said the design aims to combine modern styling with traditional national elements connected to Iranian football culture.

One of the most noticeable features of the new kit is the return of the Asian cheetah watermark, which has become an important symbol associated with the Iranian national team over recent years. The design also includes textured sleeve patterns inspired by animal skin, while the sleeve edges carry the green, white, and red colours of the Iranian national flag.

Red player numbers and logos have also been added prominently across the jersey to create a bold and recognizable appearance for the upcoming tournament.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian squad is scheduled to travel to Antalya, Turkey, on Monday for a special pre-World Cup training camp. During the camp, the team will prepare for the tournament and is expected to play two friendly matches before the competition officially begins.

Before departing for Turkey, a farewell ceremony for the national team was organized at Enqelab Square in Tehran. The event was attended by players, coaching staff, football federation representatives, and several well-known sports personalities.

During the ceremony, organizers also introduced the team’s official World Cup anthem and officially showcased the new jersey to fans and media representatives.

Iran have been placed in Group G of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside the Belgium national football team, Egypt national football team, and New Zealand national football team.

Iran will begin its World Cup campaign against New Zealand on June 16 in Los Angeles.
